Our plans for the next week!

Brant and I are excited to be getting away from the condo (and the kids). We are going to Vegas for the Bridal Market. We leave Tuesday morning and won't be back until next Monday. It's tons of work and not a whole lot of fun but it will be fun to be together without the kids. A few days after we get back Brant will be officially leaving to travel the road. This year he gets an earlier start than usual. Which is good because our contractor is planing to finish our home the third week in October. We thought the finish date was going to be the third week in November. Hopefully things take a little longer because I'm not packing by myself AGAIN. Hopefully the week after Jason's wedding is when we will move. We are really slow at work that time of year so I might be able to take time off to move in and get organized!
Kayliann and Payton are starting to learn to be big Moms and Dads. We have put a plan into place to help them learn to be independent. It's working well to help with household chores but they still need attitude adjustments!?
On Thursday we met with our electrician. We went way over budget! But our contractor says we may want to consider a security system since a peeking tom was caught at gun point in our new neighbor hood. Kinda scary!
Hopefully we can see y'all next Sunday night on our way home from Vegas around 8pm.

Going to Rio

We're going to Rio next Saturday morning. We'll be there for almost three weeks. We're doing well and we're excited to finally be going. Yesterday, the 30 of August, we completed one year of engagement. Here are a few more photos of us that we've taken in the last couple of weeks:

Hello Again

I'm sorry that I haven't had more of an oppertunity to get on and post new stuff but life is crazy in this household. Raker is growing like a weed. We just went to the doctor for his 4 month visit and the little boy is 16lbs. 7oz. He is both healthy and happy. On Monday the 25th I go back to school again full time. This means that Raker will be in day care from 8:30 to 4:00 each day. I'm ready for a little break, but this is going to be difficult.

Tyson and I are also doing well. Tyson is busy with work thankfully and I too have been busy at work. We spent our time alot differently than we used to, but it is a good change for us. we absolutly love being parents. I am also so very greatful to have such a wonderful husband. He does such a great job taking care of us and he is a great dad to our son. I could not ask for more.

We love you all and miss you tons. I'll post some new pictures next time.

Bear Lake!

We had so much fun at the reunion this year! This was our first vacation that our kids were really fun to be with. They kept themselves entertained most of the time. I have never come home from a vacation before and been RELAXED! Especially from camping with the kids. I hope it wasn't a one time thing. I think as they get older things will get easier.
We Played a lot of games. The kids got to hunt for treasure (Picture above). We played Brant's game of washers and Mark's game of horse shoes. Sequence was the board game of choice.
Tonight Kayliann gets to meet her new teacher for kindergarten. We are also going to hang out with the couple that bought our old house. He has built a fire pit in the back yard. We will be roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. It will be kinda weird.

Ady's First Haircut and Update!

On August 3rd I gave Ady her very first haircut!  I know she doesn't have much hair already, but I heard someone else do it to their little girl and it helped her hair to start growing faster; so that's the idea behind it.  She was pretty good for it too.  She just colored and looked at books while I cut her hair on the couch.  At least now she has less of a mullet!  Here is a picture of her after her hair cut, not much difference.

Zack finished Gross Anatomy on Wednesday!!!  He did really well too.  He got A's on both of the last tests, and he got an 88% in the class overall.  Ady and I are glad to have him for a week before the fall semester starts.  He starts on the 25th, and he'll be taking 24
and a half credits.  He will be in school from like 7:30 to 5 eve
ryday, and then when he is home, he'll be studying.  Sad:(  But we've heard the 1st year is the worst, so if he can just make it through this we should be good to go!

Here are some more pictures of Ady.  The other day we were playing outside and we found a toad in our front yard.  Ady really wanted to hold him, but I couldn't get a hold of him without squishing him a lot.  So instead we just pet him and watered him and Ady tried to feed him some banana.  She is so big!!

Ady and I just got back from San Antonio this week too.  We went down to visit Zack's brother Seth and his wife and their two kids.  The just had a baby a month ago and blessed her this last Sunday.  Ady was so cute with baby Lucy.  She would say "hold it" and then sit in the rocking chair with Lucy on her lap and rock her and give her kisses and pet her head.  She also liked putting her pacifier in her mouth and then pulling it out again.  She is going to be a great big sister!  And every morning when she woke up the first thing she would say is "baby Lucy?"  It was fun, but hard to be gone without Zack, so I'm glad to be home again.  Well this turned into a rather lengthy post, so I better stop here.  We love all you guys and miss you so much!

Packing for Bear Lake!

We are packing and getting ready for a Bear Lake reunion! We have a fun game planned. Brant played this game in Tennessee and loved it. It's called "washers". Totally a redneck game.
Our kids finished swim lessons today! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures (batteries are dead). I will get some posted of our trip.
Today our house is finished being framed! Well, not really they are finished on the outside and are now moving indoors. It's so exciting to see it look like a real house! We are getting totally bummed cause we had money set aside for furniture but because of the upgrades we want in the house that money is depleting fast. Hopefully we have a few good months at work (doubtful since we are going into our slow time).
Brant is getting ready to go on the road. He leaves Sept 1. His "to do list" is super long!
I feel so lucky to have such an awesome husband! He is so motivated and such a hard worker! He is the man of my dreams and my best friend. I hope y'all feel that way about your spouse.
Have a good weekend! We will post again after Bear Lake! On Wednesday...

Well I'm really still trying to figure this out. It is so great to here from everyone, and i too love you all. I have just finished my summer classes and now have two weeks off before the new semester starts. It has been a busy summer and our little family has changed and is growing so fast. We feel so lucky and blessed to have our little Raker in our life. He is so amazing! His little personality is starting to show through and he is smiling so much now. He will be 4 months in two days and we will be going to find out his weight. About 3 weeks ago he was 15lbs. 8oz. I'm sure he's over 16. Below are some pictures of our little guy, hope you enjoy. Love You!

Here He Is!!!!

Hey Family,
I just wanted to drop you all a note to let you know how much I miss and love you all! Thing are starting to get very hectic for me right now the kids are driving me crazy in this condo, and I'm trying to get ready to go on the road. On top of that building the house has been so stressful, we put away 20k for furniture when we move in and we have already used up 14k on upgrades and I feel like we are settling. They should finish the roof this week and i will get you pictures asap. I can't wait to get out of here! Kayliann starts kindergarten in 2 weeks and she is very excited. Payton is still a handful and no sign of improvement boy the lord sure knows how to test us! I love you all so much and can't wait for us all to be together again.

My Big Belly!

So things have been going pretty fast for this pregnancy up until now.  Now that I'm getting really uncomfortable it's going much slower; good, but slower.  The good news is I only have 10 weeks left, hooray!! And the new doctor I found here is awesome.  I like him a lot and have heard that he lets the dad's deliver the baby most of the time.  Cool huh?!  So anyway, here is the picture of my baby belly.  We love you all!

Mom & Dad Haslam

Hi family!  I think this is great.  I hope that this will help us keep in touch a little bit easier.  Dad and I have been working on our deck.  It is looking great.  Even though it's not finished we sat on it the other night and it was great.  There was a cool breeze blowing and it felt much better than being inside.  Dad is also helping demolish on of the Festival houses that is being torn down.  We are salvaging bricks from it to use in our yard for a patio.  The patio will go right next to where the deck ends and to the end of the house.

We will leave Tuesday morning early to take Jason to the airport in Las Vegas.  He is going to Brazil and planning on bring Paloma back when he comes home.  Jason thinks that her interview will probably be the end of September.  Isn't that exciting?

I started meetings for work last week and this week will be heavy with meetings also.  I'm on contract starting the 11th so I think work has officially started for me.
