Sad Week! :(

I'm sure many of you have heard about the 2 young men that were killed in an avalanche in Cache Valley. We wanted to let you all know that the 22 year old Erik Jorgensen in that story is our employee's husband. He was killed on Christmas Eve! The funeral was yesterday. It has been an emotional week. We hope she will come back to work. Of course if she doesn't, we understand. The next two weeks will be stressful at work without her. We are doing inventory, preparing for the Sale, and going into our busy season with customers. Please keep her and their families in your prayers for us.

This Week's Update!

Cabinets were delivered on Monday!

The Master Closet!

His and Her Sinks! They are still working on fitting Doors and Drawers.

I am in LOVE with the new fridge! I better be ... we went way over the contractors allowance. I am so excited to finally have an ice and water dispenser again.

The Cabinets ... after this weeks installation. Obviously they are not finished yet. But they are to the point of being measured for the tops.



We are told next week is a huge milestone. We are scheduled to start carpet on Tuesday. The Counter Tops will be installed. The tile will be finished in the Master Bath, Fireplace in Basement, and kitchen surround tile will be started also. Plumbers and Electricians will be in for finish work too.

I'm apologizing in advance for postings next week. Brant will be leaving to TN next week and I promised him I would post everyday. He wants to see the progress long distance. Sorry!
It's not looking promising to be moved by Christmas. :( It's okay! We don't want to rush the finish work. We want it to be perfect!

We had a conversation with our contractor before Thanksgiving that left us doubtful about being in by Christmas! We had kinda given up until today. When we saw the progress today we are hopeful again. So here's our crazy schedule for the next few weeks.

8th thru12th: Cabinet Installation, Finish Kitchen Flooring, and possibly carpet.

16th thru 19th: Brant will be in Tennessee for a sales meeting.

20th: Our Lease ends at the Condo. Our landlord is putting the condo up for sale after we move. He will let us extend on a day to day basis if needed.

21st thru24th: Hopefully Closing and getting keys to our new house!

If we are not in our house by the 24th we will leave that day to stay with mom and dad. We can't wait to see the new baby's. We will spend Christmas Day in Cedar City.

If we do get to move in before Christmas we will set up our Christmas Tree and have Christmas in our new house. Then travel to Cedar City on Christmas afternoon.

We Have Color!

The front door is halfway finished. It was tough to choose color. I think it is perfect!

This is the Great Room! We have color on the walls. The painters have been working for almost 3 weeks. Things have been moving very slow... until today! Everything has been wrapped in paper and plastic for the entire 3 weeks. When we walked in today we saw it unwrapped and color on the walls! Yeah!

The Inside of the Front Door. This is Dave our painter!

The railing was installed about a week before Thanksgiving and was immediately wrapped with plastic for painting. This was the first time we have seen it all together. I love it!

The kitchen floor is being finished for the second time. The first round was finished before the painters started. Our contractor is super picky about the finish work. It didn't turn out perfect so he is having it redone. I love the fact he is such a perfectionist... so am I. They started today and he says it will be done by Sunday afternoon.

This is looking down from the second floor into the great room. The color is just what I wanted (After 8 gallons of sample paint)

Kayliann's Room! My mom purchased new comforters for all of us. She picked the blue color straight from the comforter. It's very Bright! She loves it!

In The Master Bedroom! We are accenting one wall in Aqua... we'll see if it turns out the way we want.

And Payton's Bedroom! He is doing Dino's.
